Fauchon was founded in 1886 by Auguste Fauchon as a small grocery store but a century later it has become a temple for the dedicated foodies.

There's something for everyone at Fauchon: cakes, macaroons and chocolates for those with a sweet tooth; caviar, foie gras, cheese, lobster and truffles for serious gastronomes; tea, jam, exotic fruits and spices for the international traveler. The shop also carries private-label champagne. Prices are on the very high side but after a visit at Fauchon it's impossible not to leave with an exquisitely wrapped present for the ones at home.
