China Club
For a Parisian romantic night out or a relaxed evening with friends
Posted Monday, March 20, 2006
The China Club is inspired by the 19th-century Hong Kong gentlemen's clubs in the French colonies and successfuly recreates the relaxed and sophisticated atmosphere of those establishments. It has the perfect ambiance for lovers and can be a place where friends can lounge for a while in preparation for a night of dancing and partying.
China Club is situated on three floors, with a Chinese restaurant serving dinner and a bar at street level, a cocktail bar upstairs and a speakeasy basement bar where live jazz is played on Fridays and Saturdays. The first-floor bar, the "Salle Au Fumoir", resembles an opium lounge with its Chinese-style opium beds and choice of cigars where after a few drinks it's impossible not to feel a little amorous.
