Hôtel Saint-Louis Marais
Small hotel in the historic Marais district
Posted Thursday, March 23, 2006
The building, a former annex of a 17th century convent, is located in the Marais area, close to Place des Vosges and Ile Saint-Louis, on a quiet street. It managed to stay an oasis of peace and calm in one of the most lively districts of Paris. Still, the nearby Bastille area has a lot of chic bars and cafes where evenings or late nights can be spent.
The hotel offers 19 intimate rooms, a combination of modern and old-fashioned charm with beamed ceilings and walls, terra cotta tiles, antique furniture and red tapestry. The soundproof rooms can sleep 1 to 3 people and amenities include hair dryer, phone with modem outlet, in-room safe and cable TV. All rooms have separate bathrooms with shower or tub. A standard double room costs 115 euros. A continental breakfast service is available for 10 euros.
