Paris Canal
Boat tours of Paris districts on the Seine, Saint Martin canal and Marne

Posted Wednesday, March 8, 2006

Paris Canal gives you a chance to see more of the monuments, buildings and old districts in Paris from the water, as the boats take you on a trip along the Seine and the Saint Martin canal. This route covers the basic sights (Orsay Museum, the Louvre, the Institute of France, Notre-Dame) that the other companies' boats pass by but then the passangers get to experience a more quiet and less known part of Paris. It's a perfect combination between the vivid life on the Seine and the peaceful narrow waterpaths of the Saint Martin canal in the 10th arrondissement.

The tours take 2 hours and a half and cost 16 euros for adults and 9 euros for children. You can either board the morning boats that leave at 9:30 am from the Orsay Museum or the afternoon ones departing at 2:30 pm from the Villette Park.

With Paris Canal you can also go on a full-day trip along the Marne and enjoy the marvelous landscapes that Paris and its outskirts have to offer. You can even have a picnic at noon on the “Brise Pain” island.

For larger groups, Paris Canal organizes half-day cruises on the Seine and on the Saint Denis canal until the "Stade de France" and one-day cruises on the Marne completed with lunches in the open air.
