Posted Thursday, March 9, 2006

If you decided you don't want to be stuck in a bus and avoid the traffic jams in Paris, Paris à Vélo, C’est Sympa! invites you to take a more intimate tour of the city and get to know places that tourists don't usually have the opportunity to discover. The company offers guided bike tours both inside the city and day tours outside of Paris to Versailles and along the banks of Marne.

If you want to explore Paris you have 5 options: Heart of Paris, Paris Nocturne, Unusual Paris, Paris Contrasts, Paris at Dawn. These are 3-hour tours and they cost 32.50 euros for adults (28 euros for persons unde 26 and 18 euros for children). Heart of Paris and Paris Nocturne follow the same route, one by day and one in the evening when Paris becomes the "City of lights" - the old districts of Marais and then along the Seine to the Louvre and Notre-Dame. The Unusual Paris ride takes you to the South of Paris and Paris at Dawn is an early morning excursion to Montmartre.

The full-day tours, outside of Paris, are reserved for groups and prices are available on contact.

The meeting point for all tours is 22 Rue Alphonse Baudin, the company's address. After taking a guided tour and having discovered Paris you could consider a tour on your own and Paris à Vélo has tandem and normal bikes for rent. A city bike can be rented for 12.50 euros for the day and a tandem one is available for 25 euros a day.
